Privacy Policy

The conversion itself happens on your device. When you type text or paste a morse string into the boxes on the homepage, that content is mapped to its dots-and-hyphens or letter equivalent by JavaScript running in your own browser tab. It is never uploaded to a server, logged, or read by us. Close the tab and it is gone.

The permalink feature is the one exception worth spelling out

The homepage tool has a "Copy link to this conversion" button. Clicking it puts whatever you typed into the page's web address as a query parameter, so the link can be bookmarked or shared and will reload the same result. That means anything you convert this way becomes part of a URL, which can end up in your browser history, in a chat log if you paste the link somewhere, or in server logs of whatever service later receives that link. Do not use the permalink button for anything sensitive. If you just want to convert text privately, use the tool without clicking that button and nothing leaves the page.

Analytics and ads

We use Google Analytics to see aggregate numbers like how many people visited a page, not what anyone typed into the converter. The site also shows ads served through Google AdSense, which can set cookies to personalize what you see; the banner at the bottom of the page lets you accept or decline that before it loads. You can turn off ad personalization for your Google account at adssettings.google.com, and see which other companies use similar cookies at aboutads.info.

Children

This site is a general-audience reference tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age, since there is nothing to submit in the first place.
